Pune Porsche Accident: Father and Grandfather of Teen Driver Sent to 14 Days’ Judicial Custody

In a high-profile case, a Pune court has remanded the father and grandfather of a 17-year-old boy, who was involved in a fatal Porsche accident, to 14 days of judicial custody. The accident, which occurred on May 19, resulted in the deaths of two young software engineers, sparking widespread outrage and legal action.

The teenage driver, who was allegedly drunk at the time, crashed his speeding Porsche into a bike, killing two people in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar. The victims, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, succumbed to their injuries shortly after the accident. The Pune Police arrested the boy’s father, Vishal Agrawal, a real estate developer, and his grandfather, Surendra Agrawal, on charges of allegedly coercing their family driver to take responsibility for the accident. The police claimed that the duo offered money and gifts to the driver and confined him against his will.
